[SOLVED] HDD: SMART command failed

Hello.
I have this Asus F5VL that I am trying to repair.
On booting it goes straight to Bios and I dont get to access Windows.
Bios gives me the above message.
How do I repair that?

Replace the HDD.

With a USB-SATA dock, try the drive connected to a different PC.

If is still fails, it's a fridge magnet donor.

I did it. The problem was that I had to disable SMART and 32 bit something. Then I had to install Win 7 Pro because this laptop is old and would not take Win 10.

If you disable SMART, then you don't get HDD failure warnings.
Your HDD has failed. Replace it.

Well, sure. If you turn off the warnings that tell you it is actually dying, it won't tell you it is dying.
Like, in the middle of a fire, if you turn off your smoke detector, there's no more fire, right?
