Hello,
I would be grateful for some insight.
I have just cloned my boot HDD to a SSD (EVO 860); I used the Samsung migration software. I booted from the SSD without issue and removed the old HDD. I now have the SSD and another HDD connected to the mobo, but the system partition on the old HDD is now showing up as another volume in Disk Management. It shows as \\?\\Volume{hexadecimal} string.
The optimize (i.e. trim) operation in (Windows 8.1) Disk Optimisation doesn't run on that 'volume'.
It seems fine but I'm wondering why?
Thank you all!
