Greetings,
I got a new pc and installed the OS and drivers to an SSD. I wish to use my HDD as a data storage drive in unison with the SSD. The HDD is currently labeled as Intel Raid 0 drive, because I previously used it as such in my last machine. How to I change it so it is a normal HDD that I can use with my SSD?
Thanks

This definitely sounds concerning, ashysh!
I'd strongly recommend you to use the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic tool to check up on its health and SMART status. This error could be indicating that the drive has failed. In case you are unable to find the diagnostic utility on their official website, you can refer to some third-party testing tool suggestions from the community.

Keep us posted with the results & good luck!

Welcome, ashysh!

Just like @Tradesman1 mentioned, make sure that your SATA mode for the HDD in BIOS is not set to RAID and more importantly, make sure that the SSD isn't either. If you previously had data on the HDD or you have used in the past as a primary/booting drive, you might have encountered an OS confusion which might cause some booting issues as well. If that is the case, you need to start from scratch and make sure you have the hard drive unplugged while installing Windows onto the SSD. Go to Disk Management and make sure that there are no system partitions on the HDD. As it was already mentioned, it's probably best if you reformat it from there.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes! :)

Thanks for the assistance. I installed the OS the the SSD. Nowhere in the bios have I elected to set up RAID, though the new bios on my z-97A asus mobo is much different. Under Disk management, when I elect to use the following partition styles (MBR) it says there a data error (cyclic redundancy check)
