HDD stops getting detected few minutes after booting.

My SATA hard disk stops getting detected after booting. Sometimes it is getting detected and most of the times not. When I turn off the PC next time then it detects for some time and then again vanishes after 5-10 minutes.A technician worked on it and said that in his shop, it is working fine. I have already exchanged the hard disk, SATA cable, new power cable, tried with all SATA ports on the mainboard. Initially the technician pointed to a earthing issue as the PC was giving light shocks but I have also tried with a different main plug and there it was not giving shocks. Any help would be appreciated.

Whats the brand/model of the hdd? Is it SSD?

Could be a firmware prob. Is it a seagate?? I think Samsung and seagate are the same company now

Sorry for the late reply. The model number is ST500DL001.The part number is HD503HI.

Do you know what firmware is on it now (the hard drive)?

Make sure you download the right one for your hdd

No I dont know.How do I find it. Its attached to the PC and there is no OS in it now.. I will try to run that tool.

You may have to install windows on it before you can run that. It may only run in windows.

In the specified link , it is not mentioned. and I had windows on it earlier,but it has been erased now because it was not detecting when the windows was installed on it..so initially when you start the system , BIOS detects the HD but after sometime detection stops...anyway let me see..
