HDD suddenly running sub-par

After building my computer a year ago it has been running perfectly with no complaints. That is until about noon last Sunday where my hard went from running full speed to constantly running at 100% disk usage constantly at a speed of only 2mb/s. My computer isn't quite even a year old so if the hard drive is failing then that is a horrible lifetime. The hard drive is a seagate 1Tb hard drive and is running Windows 10. Any suggestions would be appreciated
