So just ordered a ssd drive from amazon, the
DREVO X1 Pro SSD Solid State Drive 256GB Upgrade SATAIII Read 560MB/S Write 500MB/S
Together with adapter and power cable
Sabrent 3.5-Inch to x2 SSD / 2.5-Inch Internal Hard Drive Mounting Kit [SATA and Power Cables included] (BK-HDCC)

First I would like to make sure I can install this on My system with these two products.
Here's a link to my PC http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/3450181

As you can see I have a 1Tb hard drive in there. What I would like to know is if I have used up less then 250 gbs of Data, will it be possible to transfer it all to my new SSD? If any programs are required I would be most grateful if you could show me a free one that will do the job.

Thx in advance

How much total used space is on your current HDD?
With a 256GB SSD, it needs to be below 200GB consumed on the SSD.

Is this a desktop or laptop? I'm assuming desktop?
What case do you have? Many cases in the last few years have dedicated mounts for a 2.5" drive. No adapter needed.

For the data movement...
If the consumed space works, this series of steps, in this order:

Verify the actual used space on the current drive is significantly below the size of the new SSD
Download and install Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration, if a Samsung SSD)
Power off
Disconnect ALL drives except the current C and the new SSD
Power up
Run the Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration)

Select ALL the partitions on the existing C drive
Click the 'Clone' button
Wait until it is done
When it finishes, power off
Disconnect ALL drives except for the new SSD
Swap the SATA cables around so that the new drive is connected to the same SATA port as the old drive
Power up, and verify the BIOS boot order
If good, continue the power up

It should boot from the new drive, just like the old drive.
Maybe reboot a time or two, just to make sure.

If it works, and it should, all is good.

Later, reconnect the old drive and wipe as necessary.
Delete the original boot partitions, here:

Thanks for your answer!
This is indeed a Desktop. My case is a cooler master, and as you pointed out it supports 2,5 inch drives. The adapter was bundled with the power cables needed to power the ssd so I will probably still order it.

About the Drevo ssd I will see if i like it and return it if I don't
Once again thanks for taking your time and answering. I will come back here with an update once I'm all done
