HDD to SSD question.

So i am expecting my SSD to get here today so I can install my OS and Steam onto the SSD and try and leave everything else on the HDD like it was. Does anyone know if this is even possible or do I just have to fresh restart the entire thing?

thank you, but I ran into a problem. It tells me that the ssd is too small to migrate the OS to. I know my OS is intalled on a 2 TB HDD and I have a bunch of games and apps installed but I dont want the games and apps transferred over just the OS and to reinstall steam on it.
