HDD upgrade for laptop

I just bought an Asus GL553VE lappy last June. It came with a seagate 1tb mechanical hdd. I would be replacing it with a sata ssd and I chose Samsung 860 evo 500gb 7mm 2.5 sata.

My question is : Is this ssd compatible with my laptop?

Yes, they both use SATA and are 2.5 inch. Wont be a problem.
