I have just gotten my new ssd and I want to clone only the os to the ssd how can I do it? Its samsung ssd

If your C drive is less than SSD, then you can use Samsung Migration Tool.
If SMT doesnt solves your purpose try https://www.oo-software.com/en/products/ssdmigrationkit

It is not useful to move only the os to the ssd.
Installed apps need the registry and will not work if the location of the registry changes.
The Samsung ssd migration tool is excellent, it is a C drive mover.
If the used portion of your HDD will fit, you are good.
If not, there is an option in the migration app to exclude data folders from the move.
Such folders will remain accessible after the move.

If you have steam games on the HDD, there is a procedure to handle that, but I am no steam expert.
