HDD Wiped my secondary drive

Hi guys, So just plugged a seemingly non-functioning HDD into my computer running windows 10 and its instantly wiped my F:drive clean,i have no idea how its done this,it was used externally for an xbox to store games as far as i understand and when plugged into my computer via a USB it chimed to show it was detected then nothing didnt show up but i noticed immidetly that my F; drive used for storing my steam library of games had been completey wiped in seconds with no explantion as to how or why.if anyone has any ideas how this happened id appreciate their ideas. natrally i wont be plugging this little demon in again,cant imagin it being anyhting delibratly malicious but non the less the damage wa sinstantly done.

Check Disk management, maybe there's a conflict somewhere. Missing letter maybe ?

So far not found any errors that should have caused it, just a ghost in the machine.
