HDD with integrated windows installer

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone could tell me or link me how to save a windows installer in a new HDD for a laptop.... so i can triger it when i turn on

that laptop's dvd reader is broken and i tried several times the USB windows installer but it never worked, so before spending money on a external dvd reader, id like to try that, and make it work just like other laptops that comes with its installer integrated in the default HDD

Which version of Windows and have you made a proper USB installation stick using the Microsoft USB tool and instructions from HERE?
