Ok, thing is : Friend of mine got new modular psu and accidentally plugged sata cable to 6/8-pin gpu rail (in psu) to hdd. Now hdd wont even spin. pcb board dead? There is no visible damage on pcb, there were no smoke coming out of it as i heard. Is there any change to repair pcb or do i have to order identical one and start fight with firmware adapts etc...?

Thanks in advance!

PN: 9YN162-300

Thank you very much for info. Finally got my hands on soldering equipment and got bit of courage to try. Removed 5v diode and made blob over both of zero-ohms, works like a charm. You've made two people really happy, Thanks!
