Question HDD won't work with SDD or vice versa

I have a Samsung 850 250gb EVO SSD which I have been using with a Seagate 1TB HDD for the past while. My os is installed on the SSD.

I recently bought an 860 EVO 1TB and when I have it plugged in with the Seagate HDD it will not detect the SSD. It won't even detect it in the BIOs.

When I unplug the HDD, the new SSD works fine and vice versa. My 850 EVO 250gb which has my OS works always and never has conflicts.

Any suggestions? I have the STRIX B450-f gaming mobo, Win 10.

Have tried all the SATA ports. Have swapped cables and both work with all cables, just not together.

Is the new 860 EVO 1TB in M.2 form factor?
If M.2 drive is used in M2_1 slot, sata ports SATA6G_5/6 get disabled. Connect your HDD to a different sata port.

Its not an M.2 - just a standard SATA SSD
