hello, i recently buy hdd caddy for my thinkpad t530, since my hdd is ultrathin(wd5000mpck) i also buy an additional sf8385 to sata converter card, after i install it, everything worked fine, but i notice the disk is unusually slow,
when i check the task manager, i find that the disk always 100% active, i googled and find some solution about disabling service, and it work, my disk seems work faster, but when i try to copy something to it, it freezes, even with small files ~5mb,
i try to check it with wd tool, the result is fine,
and this is hd tune result:
http://prntscr.com/hwpbhy

thanks for the help, im really frustated

well, i found out the drive working fine without the adapter, :/
so do you think the problem is in the adapter, or in thinkpad ultrabay, or something else?
what weird is the reading is normal, but when it try to write, even small data, it freezing and have 100% activity

yea i think so, 🙁
unfortunately i dont have the resource, i live in a thirdworld country and i have to order the part directly from china, which is taking so much time and money(for me)
i know the HDD work fine now, i just dont know whether its the SFF to sata, or the HDD caddy, or maybe the ultrabay itself causing the problem, because the symptoms is so unique, can't write data but able to read normally.
anyway thanks for the effort, maybe i should start saving again, :)
