HDD writing for several hours

I just bought a new 4tb external drive (seagate hub), and the first thing I did was to save recovered files using easeus from another one that recently failed. It's been transferring data for almost 16 hours non stop and It's still not done. I did not even have time to format or check the drive as the situation was rather urgent.

I don't know if this type of use is any worse for a drive than "regular" use moving and saving files in smaller portions. I've been keeping an eye on the external temps and they have not gone over 38c. All programs that can read internal temps for all my drives are not working because I think the damaged drive slows them down when they try to access it, so I don't know actual internal temps. Either way, i don't know if the temps should be my bigger concern or the non stop marathon writing time on the drive.

I've done similar recoveries before but on older "broken in" drives, never with a new one straight out of the box.
