[SOLVED] HDMI 1.4 vs DP (gaming)

Hello i recently ordered the AOC 27G2U monitor and i was wondering if i can get the full 144hz while using an HDMI 1.4 cable or do i need to use a Displayport? If i need a DP does anyone know if the cable should arrive with the package or do i need to get one myself? Thanks for the help

HDMI 1.4 technically supports 144 hz, most of the time it is the monitor that limits it to 120 hz. If you are in dire need for 144 hz, use DP. Don´t expect the DP cable to be shipped with the monitor, unless it is specifically mentioned monitors only come with a power cable.
