Hey all, I have a 4k TV, Sony Bravia XBR 65x-850a, a software upgrade enabled HDMI 2.0 on the TV. I have 2 780ti's right now that obviously have HDMI1.4. When I go into Nvidia Control panel I can't select 3840x2160 at anything higher than 30hz, Im assuming this is because of GPU not being 2.0.

I'm just looking for input from someone that if I buy 2 GTX980 ti's with HDMI, and the TV claiming to have HDMI 2.0 support that right out of the box 2160p@60FPS is available, I just don't want to drop 1400 on new video cards that won't do what I'm lokking for. Thanks in advance.

Yah I didn't realize the limitation of HDMI, or that displayport had the ability untill after I bought the tv. It has no Displayport so I've been patiently waiting for HJDMI 2.0 cards to come out.

Uhmm... sorry if this is the wrong thread and sorry for that, but I need a little bit of help 😀 Hope you don't mind... I've ordered a GTX 970 which "has the ltest" HDMI 2.0 technology, but I only have a 1.4 HDMI cable. I don't want to play at 4k first, but I don't know if that cable, I have, will be enough for 1080p-60hz. That's my question. Or it is only an issue in case of 4k displays? Thank you very much!

I can't answer you for sure, I'm having more issues, non stop green flickering on everything with SLI @ 4k, don't know if it's my TV, or Drivers etc, but from everything I've read any "High Speed" HDMI cable is good, shouldn't need to spend money on a Specific 2.0 cable.
