Question HDMI 2.1 and 4K 10 bit YCBCR 4:4:4 support

May 3, 2015
Hello there.
I need to know whether LG 77C9 series TV, which has HDMI 2.1 port is able to do 4K 10 bit YCBCR 4:4:4 color with Nvidia RTX2060 card and HDMI 2.1 cable at Windows 10.
I read articles like this one "Nvidia enhanced its RTX 20 with HDMI 2.1 VRR support for LG OLED 2019 listing"
I am with LG65E8 and Radeon RX560 + HDMI 2.1 cable and i am able to get either 8 bit color with this settings (4K at 60Hz and YCbCr 4:4:4) and 10 - 12 bit color only if i switch YCbCr to 4:2:2.
It is shame to pay so much money for 8 bit color or 12 bit, but YCbCr to 4:2:2 which is not as good image as YCbCr 4:4:4. I am not a gamer, we use the TV for movies and TV series. i am not familiar what latest Nvidia drivers can do with this HDMI 2.1 VRR support. Just someone who has HDMI 2.1 TV and cable and such a Nvidia card to confirm please. The best way is with screenshot from Windows and Nvidia control panel whether is really 4K 10 bit YCBCR 4:4:4 at 60Hz. I asked LG but they responded that "They do not know and if they have update will inform me". From your answer depends whether will buy LG 77C8 or LG 77C9 .Many peoples are interested.
They added support for the VRR standard (variable refresh rate) as defined in the HDMI 2.1 specification. The update does not include other HDMI 2.1 capabilities that are not VRR related, such as increased bandwidth for higher video formats.
