I have a problem when I try to put together a computer to be used as a media center via Boxee or XBMC.
I have an old motherboard, K8N SLI Platinum: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/K8N-SLI-Platinum.html
and has bought a new graphics card, Point of View GeForce GT240: http://www.pointofview-online.com/showroom.php?shop_mode=product_detail&product_id=138
After talking with the store, this card should have a built in sound card, allowing it to get 7.1 sound to my system.
Now to the problem. I only get 2.0 analog audio. I have tried everything possible but it doesnt work. I have downloaded latest drivers from Nvidia. Point of View refers all downloadable content to nvidia, so there's nothing extra to download from them.
Anyone else experienced anything like this, or may have an idea what goes wrong?
