HDMI audio equalizer

I have a nvidia quadro 4000 video card with hdmi out. I have connected this to one of the hdmi inputs on my stereo receiver and then out to the hdmi input on my TV. All setting I can find for display settings say nvidia high definition audio, My goal is to find some type of equalizer to adjust the sound. I do streaming tv through chrome and music through pandora. I have searched and tried several differing progs. Looked through nvidia control panel all to no avail. My concern is that if I go to realtek audio I will lose some functionality of the display or I may just be stupid about that. I really need the higher end display for 3d modeling. Or another question I have considered is if there is some type of prog to interface with a "repeater"(stereo)? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Doesn't your receiver have audio processing features? Even he cheapest ones should have Low, Mid and High adjustments if not a full equalizer with 7 or more points.

Don't expect miracles as EQ can be a bandaid rather than a substitute for better speakers.
