I just bought a 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) TV, with 120Hz refresh rate. I have an HD cable box from Xfinity. They're telling me it isn't 4K, but I can exchange it for a 4K box.

I ordered two HDMI cables:

1. Supports 4K video at 24 Hz, 1080p at 60 Hz, 48-bit color, bandwidth 10.2 Gbps.

2. Supports 4K video at 60 Hz, 2160p, 48-bit color, bandwidth 18 Gbps.

What specs do I need in a cable? Do I need cable #2?

Well... So... There's a tonne of stuff about HDMI cables - technically I haven't tried either yet not even at work... But many say cables that are HDMI 1.4 will work but again I'm not sure of that. Of the two you listed #2 meets the HDMI 2.0 spec's which is what you want for 4k @ 120HZ - assuming the Xfinity box can push that out. But there are articles on how to set your box to push that out for you. Look Here Maybe that's all you need to do?
