Hdmi from pc to LG Tv suddenly stopped working no display audio still works

I have one hdmi cable for my tv that i alternate between my xbox 360 and pc. when I switched it from my xbox 360 back to my pc today it for the first time ever had no signal. it says invalid format not no signal there is a difference between the two. I dont know what it means or what the problem may be. any suggestions?

Have you tested both your PC and Xbox with the cable? Does it work for one and not the other?

upon further inspection I noticed that one of the pins on the hdmi connecter on the pc has been stripped off, what can i do to fix this?

I wouldn't recommend trying to fix it. I'm not sure that it could be fixed anyways. Here's a link to a HDMI cable:

hey man thanks for youre reply. the problem is not with the hdmi cable; it still works fine for my xbox 360. the problem is on the connector attached to the video card in my pc. im wondering if i have to get a new video card, or if I can just replace the entire connector which sits atop my video card inside the pc and has an external input/output

No problem. Is your video card still covered by warranty? If so, you could get it fixed that way. Also, if your motherboard has a HDMI port on it you could use that. If your video card has DVI inputs you could use this DVI to HDMI cable:

no my warranty is long expired. So I will buy the cable. I would rather my pc be 100% condition but that solution shall be acceptable.

Do this, open the intel graphic properties then disable the grapic adapter, then just re enable it, works for me
