HDMI no Display

Hi.

I have a Gigetyte NVIDIA GTX 970 graphics card and trying to use the HDMI port to my monitor. I connected the HDMI cable to the graphics card and to the monitor but when i switch on the pc there is no display and the monitor is giving a message to plug in display cable.

How do i fix this?

Normally it should say No signal not no cable.. are you using the right input channel lol

Lol Yes i am, there is only 1 HDMI on the Monitor
