Question HDMI not working after removing

When I finished cleaning unit my monitor (Philips 224e) says Check Cable Connection after removing HDMI cable and installing it back. Then, I swapped to VGA and all worked well but the quality bothers me. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance.

What did you clean exactly?

List pc specs please.

If your computer has multiple hdmi ports check the correct port is being used.

Dust below my system unit and then transfered it to a new spot. Not much cleaning for the internal parts.

I tried swapping out the MHL- HDMI and HDMI but still didn't work. Tried using the right output settings but still didnt work. I dont know what went wrong I just relocated my unit and then it says Check cable connection.

Is this a laptop or desktop? Need to explain what you're working with.

The button on monitor with a circle and an arrow running through it is to toggle input signal. Not sure if your monitor auto switches but have you tried pressing this?

My pc and/or tv has a bug where the hdmi cord isn't recognized after unplugging and plugging back in unless rebooted.
I never did figure out which device it was and why it happens. This could be the same bug. But yes, specs of your OS, GPU and monitor will be needed for further assistance.
