I have an ASUS G50Vt laptop witha an Nvidia Geforce 9800 graphic card with 512MB of video memory. At first my HDMI cable worked just fine with my Samsung tv untill i changed the Output Settings in the Nvidia control panel from "Non HD to 1080i". Now the picture is darker and the colours are no longer bright as well.In other words its not really High Definition. I tried to change to the last option but its not there anymore! So i tried multiple HD outputs but to no avail. The resolution is set to 1366x768. What should i do to restore the correct Display?

I would say go into device manager, unistall it, then reboot and re-install the driver. That should restore your defaults, wich it sounds like you were using until changing it. If the drivers get installed automatically and it still doesn't work go to the Nvidia site and get the genuine drivers directly from there.
