HDMI port help

i just mounted tv on my wall and went to plug an HDMI cable into it and it doesn't fit.

http://imgur.com/uAPGEhw this is an image of the port. My best guess was a type C HDMI but it doesn't look like that would fit either. any ideas how to fix this or is it broken?

check the TV's user manual to see what ports are on the back as that is not a hdmi port.

Actually, it does sort of look like an HDMI port. Is it possible that there's a broken cable end inside of it?

I'm thinking the lower half of the connector (right hand side in the pic) snapped off. You can see the fracture lines in the black plastic. If the cable was ripped out of it's connector, it could have taken all the wires and the bottom half pins with it while leaving the head still in the socket. Found this pic (kinda large):

The metal flaps to either side of the OP's pick look like the crimping points for the connector head, after ripping loose.

At 0:26 you can see the guy stabbing himself with the leads from the cable end. At 3:13 you can see the backside of the connector (the side visible in the OP's pic) and the holes for the pins.
