Question Hdmi port on gpu does not work

I have a problem, i use a vga to hdmi adapter to connect it on a gtx 750ti. But whenever i want to start my pc i dosnt work, i also use an monitor connected from the vga port and that works just fine

Which adapter? Unless it's truly "active" (converts a digital signal to analog), it won't work.

Has this adapter ever worked?

It worked on my older gpu but i upgraded the gpu, the vga cable is just fine cause when i use multi monitoring it just works, but when i plug it in on my gpu it shows no signal
