I got a DELL ST222OL monitor with max resolution 1920x1080@60Hz but when i connect it with HDMI it shows me only 1024x768 maximum. I thought cable is faulty changed to new one nothing changed. Any help.
GPU :- Asus GTX 670
I even tried to connect it to my PS3 but i guess due to low resolution even the PS3 doesn't show anything on it.

Well as I stated, it probably wasnt the cable.

Now time for you to use the process of elimination and figure out what the issue is. I would start with a different computer/laptop.
A faulty HDMI cable will do one of 2 things. Not show a picture at all (or intermittently) or show sparkle like artifacts. That is it, it wont show waves, snow or a downgrade resolutions.

A high speed cable is needed for 1080p.

Chances are your issue are with the settings of the devices you are connecting it to to render the picture (PS3 or Computer) or the device you are connecting it to to display the picture (monitor or TV).

I have also seen this issue when connecting more than 2 monitors to machines. Even then, sometimes it will be full 1080p and then other times it will be lower. Can't figure out a reason or a solution being I have spent hours fiddling with machines and couldn't get them to work to have them work fine the next day when they boot up and then go back to being messed up after a screen saver.

i bought a new cable from belkin today but the same issue...its more than 1 year i am using this setup but now suddenly something happened i dont what's wrong 🙁
