HDMI sound extractor

Tv has no output connectors, [ TV HAS ONLY TWO HDMI PORTS],can I use an hdmi to hdmi audio extractor (ON IT’S OWN) connected to a wireless headphone to listen to standard tv WHEN NO SET BOX or APPLE TV are connected to the audio extractor?
will greatly appreciate any suggestions or comments..thank you

HDMI ports on TV's are inputs, not outputs. The only exception to this is if you have TV that says "ARC" on one of the ports. ARC allows it to send out a signal.. as opposed to receiving it. Although then, you'd need a receiver for it to plug into... then you could output just the audio.
