HDMI stopped working to tv

My problem is my asus laptop, windows 8, does connect to my samsung tv anymore. It loads then shows 'no signal'. It works when i connect it to another tv and the original tv also connects to other laptops, but not mine. ive updated drivers, rolled back drivers, updated tv software, replaced cords, resetted devices, nothing is working. any help would be appreciated.

Try this:

Power both the HDTV and the laptop down. Before turning the HDTV off, make sure it is set to the HDMI port you are connected to. Now, connect your HDMI cable. Next, power up the HDTV, then power up the laptop. Watch the HDTV for any activity at all.

If the above formula doesnt work, please try nother HDMI port on the HDTV.

If still not working! Then you have to manually set the HDMI source to PC, try pressing source so it brings up the list, scroll to the one you are interested in using so in this case it is hdmi 1, when that is highlighted on the screen then click the tools button on the remote so a new menu pops up which should be something like 'edit name' and 'information' click on edit name then scroll down again and choose pc. Hopefully this should work.

Thanks for responding, unfortunately none of those options worked. I have plugged my sisters laptop into the tv with the HDMI cord and it worked fine. And I plugged my laptop into another tv with the same cord and it worked fine. But it work work on my tv. It recognizes something is being plugged in but then shows no signal. It used to work fine but one day just stopped and showed no signal. I've updated the tv software but that didn't work..
