[SOLVED] HDMI to DP amd freesync

I bought an amd freesync monitor but there is no diplay port. i have an amd gpu and i use a hdmi connection. apparently freesync will only work with display port. will a 'hdmi to dp' adapter work? will freesync work with a hdmi to dp adapter?

No not with an adapter but Amd cards do operate Freesync over Hdmi. Nvidia requires Displayport.

Which game? What FPS? What GPU do you have? AFAIK freesync only works within a certain FPS range, if the FPS you get is out of that range, freesync will not work. This range depends on your monitor.

That's right. Vsync is still required to retain fps within Freesync range. Freesync nor Gsync doesn't actually hold frame rates where it should be. You shouldn't have input lag if Freesync and Vsync is on.

Yeah, youre 25fps above Freesync range. Lower it with Vsync or use fps limiter in Amd Adrenaline.

No problem. See if you notice input lag at 75fps or under with Vsync on. If you don't notice input lag then test with Freesync off then see if you notice.
