Your not receiving any audio from your "dvi to hdmi" cable because DVI only transfers a digital video signal. I assume since your concerned about the audio coming from the cable that you have a monitor with speakers or a tv your using as a monitor. In that case you will need an audio cable to connect your computer to your tv or monitor so you can output the sound to the speakers.
