Question HDMI to DVI adapter

Hello. I currently have a GTX 1050ti in my pc and I am using a DVI adapter for the port. My 1050ti only has space for my display port, HDMI, and DVI. I have a dual monitor setup and a drawing tablet that requires the use of an HDMI connection (The reason why I got the DVI adapter).

I tried plugging the DVI to HDMI adapter into my DVI port on my GPU and my screen is black. Only to flash onto my desktop screen and return to black. I tried using my motherboard and that doesn’t work. I tried plugging the adapter into the DVI port on my gaming monitor and it works without problem, but since my second monitor does not have a display port output, I cannot use it on my GPU. My second monitor also does not support DVI and I don’t want to lose the high refresh rate on my main by using the DVI port on it.

I’m not sure if there’s any way other than to use the VGA port on my second monitor with a VGA to DVI adapter. I am unable to upgrade my GPU simply because I don’t have the money. I know I did not explain this very well but any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.

Make and models of your panels as well as the drawing tablet? Can you parse a link to the GPU you have? We'd also be aided with a link to said display adapter.
