HDMI to DVI Cable display question

Alright well I bought a new monitor which is 144Hz and comes with a dual-link DVI-D cable. my GPU has 2 dvi ports so i'll need to use both of those for this new monitor, and i'm also going to use my current monitor as a second one. the problem is, is that my current monitor doesn't have an HDMI slot so i'd have to use an hdmi - dvi cable so the HDMI end is plugged into my PC, but the DVI end is plugged into the monitor. will I have any problems with this?

No, HDMI and DVI Both are using digital signal and capable of 1080p resolution so there will be no prob

Thanks, I went out and bought a cord and it's working perfectly.
