Will a hdmi to dvi-d dual link adapter allow 120hz at 1080p. Ps please don’t suggest hdmi to dp to expensive and supper hard to find on the internet

All HDMI to DVI cables and adapters are Single-Link only, even if they appear to have a Dual-Link connector or claim to be Dual-Link DVI, they are falsely advertising it. HDMI to Dual-Link DVI would require a complex converter like DisplayPort to DL-DVI does, and no one makes them because there is so little demand because Single-Link adapters cover almost all people's needs.

There are a few HDMI to DP converters that claim to support 4K 30 Hz, which needs the same amount of bandwidth that 1080p 120 Hz does, so it is possible they might work for 120 Hz but it is uncertain.

The adapter above will (if it works) allow you to connect a HDMI output that supports 120 Hz to a display with a DisplayPort input supporting 120 Hz. Is this what you need to do?
Are you sure the HDMI output on this device supports 120 Hz?
Does the device not have a DisplayPort output?

Any HDMI output from a computer should support 120 Hz, it's just most inputs that don't.

Requires HDMI 1.3 or higher. Support has been there a lot longer in GPUs than displays.
