Hi,

My PC and all the peripherals are in one room of the house. Basically I want to move the mouse, keyboard, monitors etc into another room and leave my PC where it is.

The only option is for me to get USB/HDMI over Ethernet, the only thing I could find is this.

Is there an alternative that is around the same price that will me to connect 3 monitors via HDMI, USB and sound over Ethernet cable?

I have cat 6 Ethernet cable running through my house btw.

Thanks in advance.

No what I mean is that to have my pc in room "A" and my keyboard, mouse, monitors in room "B".

The only viable option is something over Ethernet like the one I linked in the question.

I get it now. You can try to use HDMI and USB over Ethernet, but it doesn't guarantee it would work. Have not dealt with it myself, but on paper it sounds like it could work.

Worst case? You're out $15-30 bucks: https://www.amazon.com/Portta-PET30DP-Extender-CAT5e-support/dp/B003LZA95W

The short answer is no. What do you want to do on the PC? If it's gaming you have no chance as any extending solution adds so much lag it's unplayable. If it's watching movies then just Remote Desktop from a tiny computer like a NuC onto the main machine

Almost cheaper to buy a new pc. Maybe you could get a basic setup with 1 monitor to work but to have 3 you would need 3 of these type of systems.

This also assumes that you not running anything higher than normal 1080p. Gaming monitors with high refresh rates run so fast that you can not even use the older hdmi, many only run on display port. The bandwidth requirements for a monitor are outrageous compared to network equipment.

Even if they get this to work as mentioned in the above post you are going to get lag because of the delays introduced into the video compared to the delays you get from the mouse and keyboard. It will only really work for simplistic function games will likely not be playable.
