Hdmi, vga tv

So i have a 1050 ti asus dual it was a dvi and a hdmi/ my tv has an hdmi and vga so i hookedmy hdmi to the tv and the screen is enlarged and res scaling dosent make a diffirence i know its because hdmi is for cable boxes and is formated diffirently but if i get a vga to hdmi will this solve the issue my guess is yes just wanted a 2nd opinion

Sounds more like settings on the TV. It should fit the screen automatically to it's size but I would imagine there are settings on the tv to override this if it messes up.
