Question hdmi vs display

Hi all

Are there any hdmi cables which support 120hz monitors or is display port the only way to go?I cant seem to find any cables which say they support 122hz most of them say 1920x1080p and i have a 3840x1440 monitor,

Any help would be great

need 2.1 port on the tv and gpu and cable.

and need to read the monitor spec.

hey there thank you for the info its great i found a hdmi 2.0 which says

• Highest video resolution up to 4Kx2K at 60Hz
• Ultra 3D over HMDI
• HDMI Ethernet Channel
• Bandwidth up 18Gbps
• Supports compressed audio such as DTS-HD and Dolby True HD
• HDR support

im sure that should be ok?
