HDMI works only with video onboard, not with my PCI-E vga

Hey Guys,

I just bought a new video card: Asus geforce GTX 760. Everything goes fine, but the HDMI that only works with my onboard video vga.
So, the problem is that HDMI doesn't work for my new GTX760.
There is nothing wrong with this new video card, my previous one (ATI HD 4870) had the same problem (after a while, not always(!) ) So,I guess the issue could be the motherboard..some kind of setting. I disabled onboard video, PCI E vga is primary, still nothing 🙁
p.s. Motherboard is Gigabyte H55M D2H
Any solutions?

checked to see if the motherboard has the newest bios file to rule out a bios bug. what model power supply are you running?? at it wattage???

make sure you using a known good hdmi cable some of them dont work on some video ports.

Yes. it seems there's a new version available for my motherboard: F4 3,06 MB 2012.02.08 http://www.gigabyte.com.ro/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3572#bios
Power supply is Corsair CX - 500, 500 WATTS, works great! http://www.corsair.com/en/cx500-80-plus-bronze-certified-power-supply

Problem is that I don't know how to "update" my BIOS version 🙁 Is there a risk for my PC or files on my HDD ?

make sure you using a known good hdmi cable some of them dont work on some video ports.

Cable is good, as long as it works with my onboard vga, and also test it at some friends. 100% is motherboard

update the bios...download the bios file and unzip it to a usb stick. then boot into the bios asnd there will be a tab for update/unilitys. go to that tab and then click on bios update and search for the new bios file on the usb stick. the mb bios updater will fine the file and ask you to update click yes..let it run and reboot. on reboot your bios will be updated.

So, I have found on the official site of Gigabyte that update for BIOS, it's an .exe application named mb_bios_ga-h55m-d2h_f4.exe
Should I copy this one on stick and follow all the steps that you told me?

when the file is unzipper there should be two files the exe and a .rom or other file in the bios update zipped file. the exe is not needed the mb will do all the work the exe file does if you run the exe in windows it can fail and kill the bios chip.

That exe it's an archieve It contains 3 files:

autoexec.bat
FLASHPI.EXE
h55md2h.f4

i will copy these files on my flash stick.
I have found in the Bios the option " Update Bios from drive"

I have successfully updated to the last version of Bios, still not working 🙁(
In right click-screen resolutions-detect - nothing happens, my TV LED Samsung is not detected 🙁
HDMI of my GTX 760 not woking at all...
Not even the message "No signal" isn't displayed.

Only the HDMI of mainboard works...

download the newest nvidia drivers and install them then go into the nvidia control panel with the tv plugged into the onboard video port see if the nvidia card sees the tv on the hdmi port as a second monitor and has the tv off. check nvidia monitor set up in the control panel. if the hdmi port wont turn on the cheapest fix might be to use a dvi to hdmi cable.

I've done this, drivers are the newest, yesterday I bought the GTX 760.
You said to plug TV on onboard card. For this action, I guess I have to enabled both video card in the same time. In Bios I only have the option "onboard vga only if no PCI- E card detected" (something like that)
Already used a dvi to hdmi cable, nothing happens.

set it to always enables to turn it on with the 760.
see if both video ports now come on and are seen in windows.

Still nothing...Anyway I ordered a new motherboard Gigabyte G1 Sniper B5 and also a new processor, i5 4440, because it's a pitty with this video card not to enjoy for it's maximum full capacity. Hope it'll work this "little" HDMI issue )
