I've got a 7800XT and recently bought a MSI monitor that is HDR capable (MSIG274QPF-QD). I've never used HDR before and don't really know what I am doing.
I downloaded the Windows calibration tool, which took me through a series of images (a grey cross against a background) and I had to adjust sliders in order to make the grey cross disappear/appear. Once I had done this, the display looked so ridiculously bright that I assumed I had made a mistake and so I tried to run the tool again - but now, on two of the steps, the grey cross is not visible even at any setting of the slider.
I tried deleting the profile and trying again, but the problem persists - the grey cross is not visible at any setting, and my desktop is so bright that I have had to turn HDR off.
I am sure I am just doing something stupid, but if someone could enlighten me (no pun intended) I'd be very grateful.
