might be better to say that a 20k:1 contrast ratio is only about 3 times better than 2k:1 - not the 10x you might think.

3x still isn't "not much different", IMO.

One thing to consider: if you wear eyeglasses, hope they have anti-glare coating. Otherwise, you'll be seeing the reflection of light bouncing off your face. Contacts are best, if you need corrective lenses.

Stories about "light halos" at night would suggest that corrective laser surgery is probably the worst option for nearsighted videophiles.

Who knows what they mean by "very rare", but no thanks. Plus, who knows if they mean it goes away completely, or only enough for people to safely drive at night.

All of the existing FreeSync 2 monitors use VA panels, which IMHO are terrible for gaming due to the very noticeable ghosting - especially FPS 'fast twitch' gaming. When will FreeSync 2 monitors using IPS or OLED panels be available??
