HDTune freezes on error scan and benchmark test.
When i startup the HDTune Pro program it shows SMART info as ok for the disk, but if i run the error scan or benchmark test then it freezes and the program gets unresponsive.
Few weeks ago i acquired 10 used HDDs (Seagate Barracuda ES ST3750640NS 750gb) and when i ran the error scan or benchmark test - everything worked perfectly and the results were also ok on all HDDs.
This week when i needed to do a rescan the SMART shows that everything is ok but error scan either fails to start or it freezes up constantly (10-60sec) during the scan and it doesn’t only freeze the scan but all other programs work.
If i do a scan on my main HDD than everything works great but on the added hdds it doesn’t.
I have changed the SATA cable, uninstalled HDTune completely and then reinstalled it. Updated all drivers but nothing seems to solve the problem.
My PC: E5200, P31-ES3G, 4gb RAM Win 7 Ultimate x64
