Hey guys, i have my PC plugged into a 32" Beko HDTV, via HDMI cable but i cant find any resolution that will work very well, e.g they are all blurry/fuzzy and some do not fit the screen including the TV's native resolution of 1366 x 768. I Would plug it in via VGA because the quality of VGA is fine for me and i have had this problem with HDTVs before with other computers and just gone over to vga but i cannot get a display on the tv via VGA for some reason.

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti.
You can find all the information on my TV Here if needed: http://www.hdtvreview.com/Beko-32WLA530HID-hdtv.html

Thanks, Tom.

This is what I would do in order, set resolution to native 1366*768 in nvidia control panel, then adjust size and scaling in nvidia control panel if needed, lastly adjust text using cleartype which is built into windows 7/8.

i did what you suggested but i can only get a refresh rate of 24hz doing that for some reason so screen is the perfect size but slightly blurred and the cursor sort of "lags" when moving

In control panael and nvidia control panel it says the recommended/nativ is 1920 x 1080 its fits the screen and is a nice size but its very blurry e.g only just can read the time down the bottom right of task bar. i found the refresh rate is set to 30hz interlaced, when i change it any higher, not interlaced the screen will flicker and on 60 hz the windows task bar will start flashing at the top of the screen.

Well i read through the entire manual and I cannot seem to find what the refresh rate is supposed to be for your tv. I'd try switching back to vga, making sure that the resolution is set to 1366*768 or less before switching to the vga cable.

I switched back to VGA, set it to 1366*768 before, when i changed over to VGA it changed resolution to 1024*768 and the highest option is 1280*1024

set the resolution to maximum.
then right click on the desktop and select the screen resolution option.then in that window got to the advanced settings option.select the monitors tab from there and check if the refresh rate is set to 60 hz and if not click on the dropdown list and select 60hz manually.

The tv will not display any image when i select 1280*1024 (highest resolution available, the only ones i can get is 1024*768 and 800*600, the refresh rate is set to 85 in 1024*768 but in this resolution everything is way too big.

If you don't mind the bars just adjust the scaling within nvidia control panel and/or the picture format on the tv settings. Do so until the aspect ratio looks correctly scaled.

342 pixels in width isn't going to make things much smaller anyways.

so im going to have to put up with black bars if i want the proper resolution? if so i may aswell just buy a new 27" monitor ive been looking at

Basically yes unless you can get HDMI working correctly. With the vga can you set the resolution to 1366*768 via windows (right clicking on desktop and going to screen resolution)?

If you stretch the 1024*768 to fit the whole screen like you noticed everything will look stretched.

just click on automatic Windows update/check for updates now.
many a times after Windows recognises a new hardware and installs all the necessary updated drivers...they start functioning normally.

With the vga the highest resolution available is 1280x1024, which says recommended but i my TV will not display thsi resolution, and im unable to get hdmi to work correctly.
