Hello,
I have a Dell Vostro 1015 with Intel Celeron 900 @ 2.2GHz w/ 1GB DDR II RAM w/ 160Gb HDD w/ Integrated Graphics.
I want to boost its Performance by :
1. Upgrading its Processor

3. Upgrade its RAM to 4GB

So, This will be a great boost if successful.
To Prevent much bottlenecks and improve CPU Performance, I m upgrading the Processor.
According to Dell Service Manual, This Laptop can Support Core 2 Duo Processors.

You won't be able to add them, unless the computer has a new BIOS to support 45nm chips. Which I doubt.

Seriously, for the $100 price of the ePCIe card, plus the GPU, PSU, and the CPU, you'd be better off just getting an APU, MB, RAM, PSU, and case.

Yes, that system is pretty good. You won't be able to max out everything, but some older stuff yes. Way better than your laptop.

Main thing is that I really wouldn't use that PSU. Raidmax PSUs have a reputation for being badly designed, made, and for being fire hazards.

Some of those components appear more expensive than I would expect them to be in the US, so let me see if I can find them cheaper. What country are you in?

See if you can fit a 7750 with a cheap AM3 Phenom and board in.

The FX build is better, but a few things: RAM is too pricey - no substantial difference between DDR3-1600 and -1866.

See if you can fit a cheap 650Ti.

For just he same price as before. Just deducted the HDD to 500GB as I thought that I can not even consume my laptop's 160gb so 1 tb is a far talk.......

No, it needs a 6-pin PCIe cable.

I'd be very wary of using an old PSU; crap ones can be very dangerous.

PSU I am using is good. Well I don not apply much pressure on my system so its not likely to have burst PSU.!!!!

Yes, you could use that adapter. But not all PSUs can handle rated output - so what model is yours?

Look at the link in my sig for why you don't use an el-cheapo PSU.

QC is Quality Control. It means nothing other than it passed whatever testing they did, likely very little.

I do not need a ODD as I will be taking it out from my dead Laptop and use it on my PC.
I doubt Question : Can I mount my new power supply other that the place where it is usually mounted on my case ????

All PSUs use a standard size, except for some slim ones that use TFX and a few other standards. Normal is ATX.

What case are you using?

Also, I suggest a different PSU - look for the brands in my sig.

RAM too pricey - no advantage over DDR3-1600.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that laptop ODDs use different mounts and connectors to desktop ones, and yours is likely PATA not SATA. You can get adapters, but especially if you have to get a PATA>SATA converter, a new ODD will likely be cheaper.

The difference b/w this pic and my pc is that the PSU Placement in my PC is upper right side vertical and mobo I/o lies at just the left of the PSU.

I can not get quality RAM under 65. This one is discounted.

Yes, that's a standard ATX size PSU. But that doesn't mean anything about quality, and that one would be a fire hazard in my books.
