Hello,
I have a Dell Vostro 1015 with Intel Celeron 900 @ 2.2GHz w/ 1GB DDR II RAM w/ 160Gb HDD w/ Integrated Graphics.
I want to boost its Performance by :
1. Upgrading its Processor
2. Making an External Graphics Adapter : http://www.techradar.com/news/computing-components/graphics-cards/how-to-make-an-external-laptop-graphics-adaptor-915616

3. Upgrade its RAM to 4GB

So, This will be a great boost if successful.
To Prevent much bottlenecks and improve CPU Performance, I m upgrading the Processor.
According to Dell Service Manual, This Laptop can Support Core 2 Duo Processors.
I have selected three :
http://ark.intel.com/products/37006/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-P8700-3M-Cache-2_53-GHz-1066-MHz-FSB

http://ark.intel.com/products/42599/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-P9700-6M-Cache-2_80-GHz-1066-MHz-FSB

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001BN32OG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1PY2TJ4XEJEFD

Which one of the THREE is good to go ? THEY Support PGA478 Socket.

For making Graphics Adapter :

For Upgrading RAM :

I have an Express card Slot on my Laptop.
I don't mind GFX reduced speed.
I think I can also make the adapter through PM4H : replacing the WLAN ?

So, What do you think, will this be a good Upgrade w/ not much bottlenecks ?
What are your Opinions ?
Any Help would be appreciated................

EDIT : Monitor Resolution : 1024 by 768 @ Gaming. Can I play games at their recommended system requirements ?
I know that's a good PC. What's your suggestion ?
The only Doubt I have is: I have an old Computer Cabinet. It has an AT Power Supply that does not have enough connecters. So, I am buying a new power supply as mentioned above. I'll try to mount the PSU in the Case but if it does not fits, Can I place it at the bottom beneath the Motherboard at right side ???? I have there enough space for it.
