Headmaster won't come (Sims2)

Is there a fix for this anywhere? I invited him once and he drove off
without stopping. Now he won't come at all. I am playing a Legacy game so
moving the family out would be hugely inconvenient. I found one mod but it
altered several other phone behaviours so it would likely not be okay.

Happened to me too, but I got the message "Headmaster doesn't think
bla bla associated with such a fine bla bla" hehe... are you sure you
haven't invited him before?

Yes. Is the first time for this generation. My Sim kids always get in. This
family is worth several millions and they get the kids in with no problems.
There was no message. He drove off the one time without getting out and I
happened to see the car now he says he is coming but doesn't show up. My
poor Sims sit around in their formal wear eating lobster and sobbing because
half their want slots are filled with get into private school dreams.

Do you have a roof on your house?

I've read that the headmaster drives off again if the house doesn't have a
roof.
Have never tried it though.

Yeah there is a roof but I think I have had him over before with no roof and
I don't recall him being hung up about it.

I came across this thread when I was trying to figure out why the headmaster wasn't showing up anymore.

Had invited him a few times and he drove off and I got the little "Your not good enough for our affiliation" message.

Then I got rid of the flamingos and finally got him to the house and in for a tour but he vanished half way through with no message or anything and now when they phone and I am told they will be by at 5 for dinner. There is no car no nothing. Just a hot meal waiting on the table and no headmaster.

If there isn't a fix I will just move onto the next family. I have started a little town so if I have to forfeit this one family getting into Private school it is of little consequence albeit quite frustrating.
