Headphone advice

Is there anyone out there who uses 5.1 (or stereo for that matter)
headphones with xbox headset? Would appreciate info about your
headphone even if you use it without the live headset.

I think I might be pushing the patience of family a little bit and a
little silence would help.

If yes, can you please give some details about your setup.

FYI:

I bought Sennheiser HD 515 and they have a deep enough cup that can
hold my Live! Headset in it. I was not able to use my cellphone
handsfree as the "new" design puts the mic pretty close to the ear
giving rise to echo if used with other headphone.

I could not wait so I bought it at a retail outlet. You can get it from
Amazon for 80% of the price I paid.
