Headphone AUDIO DO NOT Work on Newly Build PC

I recently built a PC with Windows 10. I downloaded all the drivers (including audio). When I plug in my headphones into the audio jack, the computer recognizes I plugged a device in, but I can't hear anything from the headphones. I went to my audio device manager and couldn't see the device I plugged in. I made all disabled and disconnected devices visible and still couldn't see it. I'm sure the headphones work (tested it on my phone) and I made sure the HD audio plug was secure. Any help?

Are you using front or rear panel input? If it's front, did you attach the plugs to the correct headers on the mobo?

I am using the front panel and yes, I plugged the HD Audio cable in correctly.

I was just asking for the sake of clarity is all. Are there any settings in your BIOS relative to sound? Have you also tried the rear panel jack?

in the realteck audio control panel there a check box/button to make the front and rear audio ports two different outputs.
