Hey, I built a new PC recently without a sound card as I assumed that the motherboard I bought had decent in built sound (Which it does) The sound in my headphones (Which is a Razer Kraken) works fine, but the attached microphone does not If I try and use it with Skype, it says can't detect your sound card, but if I change the settings in Realtek to see it my headphones as headphones in stead of speakers, that does not appear but the microphone still does not work. I'm sorry if I've made an obviously stupid mistake, I'm new to this stuff.
Specs, in case you need them.
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77
8gb Ram
GTX 670
I5 3570K

The headphones have a in built microphone attached, there is no extra plug but the 1 plug is plugged into the front panel.

Thanks for telling me! I'll order one tonight.

Yes. You didn't get one with the headset? The adapter should have been in the box.
