Headphone jack isnt working.

I plug in my headphones but my speakers still make sound without my headphones making sound. I cannot get my headphones to play sound. Like i said only my speakers are playing sound. And no my headphones are fine.

making dual posts is not cool and very rude and annoying. are you using a sound card, or the audio built into your motherboard, or the headphone jacks on the front of your pc? where are you plugging them in?
